What it is about.
This is an expedition, not a day trip. The group always rides downwind, sleeps in a different village every night and crosses deserted coast, river mouths and dunes. 320 km in total, through Ceará, Piauí and Maranhão.
The operator is explicit: a solid level of kitesurf experience is recommended, because on some days the run goes past 50 km and on certain stretches the 4x4 support is more limited. Along the way conditions vary, from open ocean waves to long flat water stretches, plus unique passages and freshwater lagoons.
The crossing
320 km in seven legs, crossing Ceará, Piauí and Maranhão.
The support
4x4 on land, guides at sea, radio contact with the drivers and a boat at the delta.
The finish
Arrival in Atins, with a free day to explore the Lençóis Maranhenses.

Frequently asked questions.
Can I go on my own?
That is our standard. Most people arrive alone and leave with friends. Small groups and someone from the organisation with you the whole time.
How do I book?
Message us on WhatsApp and tell us your level and your questions. We connect you with the trip operator and follow the booking. We answer within 2h during business hours.
What payment methods are accepted?
It depends on each trip's operator, and every page has the detail. In general: PIX, bank transfer and card instalments, with a dollar option through Wise or PayPal on international trips.
What is included in the price?
It varies from trip to trip. Each page carries the list of what is in and what is out, straight from the operator's material. When something has not been confirmed yet, we would rather not publish it than guess.
Do I need travel insurance?
For international trips it is mandatory, and on some domestic ones too. Each trip page says so. On domestic trips without that requirement, it remains strongly recommended.
